Speaking of which… I rather foolishly left the book at a friends this weekend so I’ll be popping to Waterstone’s after work to buy another copy – a mistake I won’t be making twice!
So far I’m really enjoying the challenges, they keep me busy, push me to try something new and keep me blogging. The “Eats” challenge in particular is going really well. My meringue was a masterpiece and my salmon was fresh and zingy. I’m learning that good ingredients cooked well can produce some very delicious flavours and I’ve picked up a skill or two on the way.
My “Shoots” challenge is coming along nicely however some days are trickier than others. On a bad day, usually the ones where all I’ve done is go to work, I find it hard to know what to snap… whereas, on a good day, I have too much choice. Hopefully I’m managing to find pictures that not only sum up my day but also keep my readers interested.
“Reads” on the other hand I’m not doing so well with. I do enjoy reading but I’m finding it hard to find the time. My current book is 500+ pages which means I need to read approximately 16 pages per day and I’m slipping behind. I have no doubt that I’ll finish the book on time, even if I have to stay up all night on the last day, but I think I need to come up with a system… designate some time each day that I know is reading time. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried but I’m sure I’ll be ok… fingers crossed!
So that’s just a quick update of how things are going, I hope anyone reading this is enjoying my journey and I hope it’s inspiring you to give something new a go, if it is, please let me know what you’re up to.
