The last letter, of the last word, of the last page of “To Kill A Mocking Bird” is G – the lucky person choosing my next book is Gwilym Owen, a friend and ex colleague of mine.
Lord of the Flies – William Golding
Faber and Faber, 248 pages.
“Lord of the Flies” written by the Nobel-Prize winning author William Golding was first published in 1954 by Faber and Faber and to date has sold over 15 million copies. The book has been made into several films – the latest in 2011, an adaptation of the book called “The Island”, directed by Rehan Malik.
“Lord of the Flies” is something I’ve wanted to read since seeing the self titled, 1990 movie, directed by Harry Hook. Although I’ve seen a film adaptation of the book it’s been so long since I watched the movie that I’m really excited about reading the book and can’t wait to get started!
