Reads #6: The Review…

Eats, Shoots & Reads

I’ve recently finished my 6th book and my first autobiography of the challenge and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks to Carys for recommending “May I Have Your Attention Please?” by James Corden.

“I whole heartedly suggest May I Have Your Attention Please, the auto biography of James Corden. Brilliantly laugh out loud funny, and a really compelling page turner!”

I Say…

Although not James Corden’s biggest fan I really, really enjoyed reading his autobiography. Not only was it a refreshing change from the heavy classics I’ve read recently it was interesting, amusing and very insightful.

I had no idea how much work James Corden puts into everything he does, the range of work he’s done, or the heartache he suffered when his relationship with Sheridan Smith finally came to an end.

I learnt so much about James and his life and it was really interesting learning how Gavin & Stacey came about.

Another aspect of the book I really enjoyed was being able to learn about the work James had done and then go to Google, YouTube or IMDB and find out more. Being able to read about a sketch or show and then watch some of it online added an extra dimension to the whole experience.

If you’re a fan of James Corden, or any of the films/plays/sketches/tv programmes he’s been in I would recommend you give his autobiography a go!
